Product Catalog Backbone
The Catalog Definitions page establishes the structural backbone for all products and services offered through the platform. Here you define product categories with hierarchical nesting, configure pricing models (fixed, tiered, subscription), set tax rates per category or region, and establish unit types (pieces, hours, licenses).
📦 Category Hierarchies
Create unlimited nested categories: "Software" → "SaaS" → "Enterprise Plan". Each category supports name, description, icon, and display order. Categories are used in product filtering, quote generation, and reporting breakdowns.
💰 Pricing & Tax Configuration
Set default pricing models and tax rates per category. Configure currency-specific pricing, volume discounts, and bundle pricing rules that are automatically applied when products are added to quotes or orders.
