Visual Workflow Management

The Kanban Board view transforms your task list into an interactive visual flow. Tasks are represented as cards arranged in vertical columns that represent stages of your workflow (e.g., "Backlog" → "To Do" → "In Progress" → "Review" → "Done"). Team members simply drag and drop cards between columns as work progresses, creating an intuitive, real-time project status dashboard.

📊 Customizable Columns

Create and manage unlimited workflow columns. Each column has a name and can be reordered to match your team's process. Add columns for unique stages like "Blocked", "QA Testing", or "Awaiting Approval". Columns display a task count header and support scrolling when the card list exceeds the visible area.

🃏 Rich Task Cards

Each card displays the task title, assigned user avatar, priority indicator, label badges, due date, and attachment count at a glance. Cards support inline click-to-edit for quick modifications. The card layout is compact yet information-dense, enabling rapid scanning of task status across the entire board.

🖱️ Drag-and-Drop Interaction

Powered by dnd-kit, the board provides smooth, accessible drag-and-drop for moving cards between columns and reordering within the same column. Visual feedback (ghost card, drop indicators) guides the user during drag operations. Changes are persisted immediately upon drop.

🏷️ Label Management

Access the Labels Drawer from the board header to create, edit, and manage color-coded labels. Labels provide cross-cutting categorization beyond columns — for example, "Frontend", "Backend", "Design", "Documentation". Multiple labels can be assigned to a single task and are displayed as small colored badges on the card.

Enterprise Use Case: Sprint Planning with Kanban

A development team uses the board for bi-weekly sprint planning. Columns are set up as: "Backlog", "Sprint Backlog", "In Development", "Code Review", "QA", "Done". During sprint planning, the Product Manager drags user story cards from "Backlog" to "Sprint Backlog", assigning developers as they go. Throughout the sprint, developers drag their cards through the workflow. The team lead checks the board daily — if "Code Review" is stacking up, they know the review bottleneck needs attention. Labels like "Bug", "Feature", and "Tech Debt" help the team balance their sprint composition.
